Understanding Dyslexia: Beyond P’s & Q’S

Although dyslexia is the most recognized reading disorder and the most researched, many people assume students with dyslexia read backwards and confuse their b/d’s and p/q’s. While this may be true for some dyslexics, the level of severity can vary as well as the obstacles they face including remote learning. How do executive function difficulties also inhibit reading progress? In this webinar, participants will become familiar with current research, learn the hallmark characteristics of dyslexia, and gain an understanding of students’ academic needs. Join Wendy as she helps to unravel the complexities and challenges facing students with dyslexia. Learn specific screening tools and online activities to engage learners while improving their reading skills.
