SMARTS Conversation: Goal Setting

January 9 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Goal setting is at the heart of executive function. However, misaligned expectations and a lack of effective strategies can hinder students’ ability to set appropriately challenging and motivating goals. In this session, we will explore the importance of teaching strategies for goal setting across grades and content areas.

Join Michael Greschler, M.Ed., Shelly Levy, M.Ed., M.S., and other SMARTS educators as we delve into the world of SMARTS goal-setting strategies. Learn how to empower students to set CANDO goals, break them down into doable steps, and overcome obstacles as they progress towards achieving their aspirations. Bring your questions, ideas, and any challenges you may be facing in supporting students’ goal-setting journey.

This session is exclusively designed for current SMARTS Elementary and Secondary teachers. Reserve your spot today and embark on a journey of empowering students to become self-directed and goal-oriented learners.
