UPDATED: Fidget Toys! A Fun Way to Focus for Students AND Adults with ADHD

Fidget toys are not merely toys for kids; adults with ADHD can use them too!

If you’re not familiar with fidget toys or why they can be important tools for people with ADHD and attention issues, check out our more detailed blog post on the subject. For a brief introduction to the topic, let’s turn to Roland Rotz, Ph.D, and Sarah D. Wright, who summarize it nicely:

Fidgets are simultaneous sensory-motor stimulation strategies — the four S’s. If something we are engaged in is not interesting enough to sustain our focus, the additional sensory-motor input that is mildly stimulating, interesting, or entertaining allows our brains to become fully engaged and allows us to sustain focus on the primary activity in which we are participating.

To top our recent list of some of the best fidget toys available, I found an exciting new product that’s perfect for teenagers and adults — a fidget pen! The Fidgi Pen has multiple fidgeting features while also functioning as a pen that won’t look out of place in a college classroom or even a boardroom.

Here’s a look at the Fidgi Pen’s seven fidget features:

If you know anyone with ADHD, attention issues, or just fidgety fingers, let them know there is a way to satisfy their fidgeting needs that won’t garner weird glances from their friends, fellow students, or coworkers. They’ll find it in the Fidgi Pen!
