A Story of Human Gifts

A Story of Human Gifts

In today’s post, we want to share a poignant video made by current filmmaker, Joshua Berman(link opens in new tab/window), while he was a student in high school.

As a student, Josh always felt different, like he didn’t fit in. In this cathartic video project, Josh and his peers, along with their teachers and professionals in the field of education and psychology, reflect on what it means to celebrate difference and find your place in the world.

Josh and his peers affirm that there is space in the world for unique-minded individuals who learn in the way that’s best for them. Their teachers ask them to consider what contributions they can make and what special gifts they have to offer. It’s about finding their own path to success and about recognizing the dignity of each and every human being.

Josh is now a successful filmmaker for a film co-op in Bellingham, Washington. His work focuses on meaningful initiatives and on organizations that do good in the world, especially not-for-profit organizations.

A documentary about people who think in unique ways – who we are and the challenges we face.
A story of human gifts and what we can do to create a better future.
